The J.J. Pearce High School Choral program is rich in a tradition of excellence and quality in musical performance and experience. The success of the choral program is centered on students who are committed to excellence, and that excellence earned the Pearce A Cappella choir the highest choral honor in the state of Texas: 2008 State Honor Choir.
Students willingness to establish short and long-term goals for improvement in vocal technique and music reading are rewarded. The program offers many opportunities for our students, daily voice training, choral contests, social events, music theory, vocal performance, and camaraderie with friends while making music.
The J. J. Pearce Choral Department Handbook for 2008-2009 gives specifics about the program and RISD music guidelines. We invite you to keep up to date with our program and music on this web site. Keep singing!
