Pastor Jay

It has been an interesting sixteen months for the Narrow Trail Pastoral Search Team running ads, interviewing prospects, and visiting churches to hear sermons from potential candidates trying to find a permanent Pastor for Narrow Trail Cowboy Church.

The Pastoral Search Team is pleased to announce that Pastor Jay will be staying on to lead Narrow Trail Cowboy Church.

We give praise to God for giving us the blessing of having such a Godly man to guide us in our walk with Christ and also give praise to him for Pastor Jay's beautiful wife for being such a supportive wife and an inspiration to us all!

We extend a long awaited "official welcome" to them both!

The concert  "Battle of the Bands" will take place July 17th in Caddo Mills, Texas. All of the funds raised during the concert will be set aside for our annual Thanksgiving Harvest this November, where the Hartman House Foundation  will feed over 1000 families in Hunt County Texas. The bands are from popular Cowboy Churches in Texas  accompanied by some talented up and coming artists in the East Texas area. With a wide variety of talent, these bands will battle it out for the cause, and help prevent hunger and starvation right in their own backyards. Eventually, Hartman House will hit even more cities where hunger is an issue, because no child or family should go to sleep with an empty stomach, especially in the United States.

Although the concert is taking place in Texas, we would love for you to be apart of this one of a kind event! How? We are working on streaming the event live to Los Angeles (or whichever city you're from) so you can join the party and view the concert on your computer screen. We will be streaming the event live on our website and social media pages. Hope you can join us for this awesome event taking place on Saturday, July 17 from 4PM - 10PM CDT. Free music, free entertainment, but best of all, a chance to be apart of a community effort to bless families that simply need a helping hand this Thanksgiving!

A Father's Treasure

"Don't you see
that children are God's best gift,
the fruit of the womb
his generous legacy?
Like a warrior's fistful of arrows
are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
with your quivers full of children!
Your enemies
don't stand a chance against you;
you'll sweep them right off
your doorstep."
(
Psalm 127:3-5, MSG)

In Loving Memory of James "Bull" Johnson

Bull Johnson at the Easter Service, April 2010 looking mighty handsome in his shirt and tie!

One of our dearest church members James "Bull" Johnson went to be with the Lord last night, Wednesday, May 12th.  He died peacefully at home looking forward to going out to dinner with his Mom and Aunt.

Please pray for peace for his family knowing that he is in Heaven. His Mom is thankful for the love he found at our church.  She expressed her appreciation on Sunday when he proudly introduced her to many people on Mother's Day.

The date of his Memorial at Love & War is pending.

Jesus said: "Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.  In my Father;s House are many dwelling places; if it were not so I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
John 14: 1-3

National Day of Prayer
59th Annual National Day of Prayer

The 59th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 6, 2010. Millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events from coast to coast. The theme for this year is “Prayer for Such a Time as This” and is based on the verse from Nahum 1:7 which states: “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.”

Mr. Franklin Graham will join Shirley Dobson to lead the nation in prayer as the 2010 Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force.
